Babes on the Square Too - Foulk Road

Babes on the Square Too is a proud participant in the Delaware Stars program. We are working with this quality initiative state-wide program to continually improve the quality of care being provided to your children.

Babes on the Square Too provides care for children 6 weeks thru Pre-kindergarten. Each of our classrooms maintains low teacher-child ratios and small group sizes to foster strong adult/child relationships. Classrooms are lead by qualified teachers and have age appropriate daily lesson plans created based on the Delaware Early Learning Foundations. Babes on the Square Too provides before and after care for Brandywood Elementary School, which provides transportation. If transportation can be arranged, care may be accommodated. We are anticipating offering full day Kindergarten for the 2011-2012 school year.

Each morning and afternoon we hold open activities for many of the children in the center. This allows socialization and interaction amongst children of different ages. Mixed age interaction replicates family structure and creates camaraderie, which is comforting to small children. In addition, exposure to younger or less developed students encourages nurturing and use of leadership skills. Interaction with more developed students allows your child to advance their own skills and abilities by patterning and emulation.

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided hot and fresh daily by our very own Chef. Babes on the Square Too proudly offers meals following federal guidelines to ensure each child receives well-balanced meals. Children are encouraged to try new foods each day with a new fruit/vegetable introduced each week. All meals are served family style to promote independence and self-help skills for Early Preschool aged children and older. Physical activity is encouraged throughout the day to get little hearts beating! We have two enclosed playgrounds and lots of green space for all aged children to play! Screen time is limited to almost never!
